Choose a 2D Master Artist and an artwork you like.

this must be an artist in a museum.

 

Research the background of the artist: why they created the series they did, what is your judgement, theory, or speculation about the piece? Learn about your artist and provide your personal analysis. Use your reading of sculpture skills. Next you will take that 2D painting and reinterpret it into a 3Dimensional design.

 

This will become your midterm. On your blog (along with your projects created during Q1) present your master artist, painting, and 3D piece. Create your own reading of a sculpture response and comparisons of your painting to your project.
